Our Sports Conditioning Program

Our sport conditioning program is designed to help youth athletes (10-17) maximize their sports performance while minimizing risk of injury. We start our youngest athletes by teaching proper fundamentals and movement patterning to begin building coordination, stability, and strength. Our oldest athletes focus on building both power and strength while improving their speed and agility. Not only do these skills improve performance in team and individual sports.

Our belief is that strength and conditioning is the backbone of sports performance. We provide a safe and challenging environment that guides our athletes towards developing their full physical and mental potentials.

Exercise technique and injury prevention is of paramount importance. Education, core and muscle strength, sports specific conditioning, speed and agility movement development, flexibility, and proper biomechanics of movement are the focal points of the programs. Assessment of, and specific attention to individual strengths and weaknesses, are the focus of each program. Agility is the ability to change direction while in motion, and is very important in many sports but especially in team and dual sports.

Unfortunately sometimes dryland conditioning drills such as ladder drills and plyometric exercises, designed to improve first-step quickness, leg power or agility are done incorrectly which will, either provide limited benefit or even a reduction of performance by rehearsing faulty or slow pattern recruitment.
